Sprott Physical Gold Trust Closed-End Fund

The Sprott Physical Gold Trust (Ticker: PHYS) (www.sprottphysicalgoldtrust.com) is a closed-end fund based in Canada and the gold custodian is the Royal Canadian Mint. This fund is unique in that it lists actual serial numbers on its inventory of gold bars. The fund also allows for conversion of fund shares into physical gold on demand. But again, this is probably more for marketing purposes than actual application. However, they appear to handle the asset behind the scenes more conservatively compared to the larger market players, which is always welcome.
